Marche

Marche offers quality fresh food that is cooked right before your eyes. Good for group gatherings and highly recommended when you have the urge to pamper yourself with good food after a long day of work. Price is a little on the high side, but definitely worth every penny.

My personal favourite and definitely a must have is none other than the rosti - freshly grated potatoes perfectly fried till golden brown. A plate of plain rosti with sour cream costs S$8.90. You can also choose a side (such as salmon, sauted mushrooms, chicken or pork sausage etc) to accompany your rosti - price is on an average of S$14.90, depending on what kind of side you choose.

Currently, there are only 2 outlets in Singapore - 313 @ Somerset and Vivocity. I simply love the "cottage" concept of Marche. It was Oktoberfest when I visited the restaurant and they were serving small cups of beer to customers who were queuing. From the customer service point of view, we greatly appreciated the restaurant's sweet gesture of extending sample size beer to us as the queue was really long (at least a 30 minutes wait). In addition, they were having a 1-for-1 promotion for 1 litre beer (Marche only serves German beer by the way).

Marche also have special weekday lunch express promotion and the menu changes every week! Choose one of the main course of the day at only S$8.90+ and it comes with a free homemade drink or soft drink. The below menu is available from 15 October to 19 October 2012 (Monday to Friday). Do visit Marche's facebook page for the latest menu of the week!
