They use fresh and quality ingredients and hence, it would be worth the price if you are a fan of expensive stuff like abalone, shark's fin and fish maw etc. My parents did enjoy the food very much. However, I am not a big fan of abalone and shark's fin (pretty tasteless) so it wasn't really that fantastic for me. Or rather, I'm not a big fan of Poon Choi. I would prefer that they separate the delicacies into different dishes - braised shark fin's soup, braised abalone and bird's nest boiled with rock sugar. ^_^
Service was pretty good though and the Manager even came to speak to us after our dinner to ask if we were satisfied with the meal and whether the portion of the set meal was sufficient because she received feedback from some other patrons that the portion was too small. This was really heartwarming to us as patrons as there aren't many restaurant managers who bother to make the effort to speak to customers personally nowadays anymore. Most restaurants just simply depend on feedback form (more economical I know), but obtaining feedback personally from the horse's mouth with this human touch will definitely create an impact on the customers. Food portion was alright for me and my parents. ^_^
